Paint Application Packages & Warranties

Warranty Caveats:

INCLUDES: Protection against premature peeling, blistering, flaking, delamination or the like, as outlined by Registrar of Contractors’ statutes – to keep Painting Contractors accountable. This phenomenon (failure of a coating) is commonly due to inadequate pressure washing and dirt film removal or the occasional bad batch of paint (either sold/used past its expiration date or from faulty manufacturing).
DOES NOT:

Cover “color fading” (generally the principal motivation for repainting a home). Truisms to bear in mind when selecting a color:
1. The darker or brighter the color, the faster the fade.
2. If a “best in class” paint is not selected when applying a darker or brighter color, fade WILL BE “prematurely” inevitable, relative to the warranty.
Cover recurring cracks. Since the Painting Contractor did not initially build nor paint the house, they are not responsible for its continual movement nor consequent crack resurgence. We use quality patching materials, but unfortunately, they are NOT cure-alls.
Cover wood damage or “rot” caused by excessive moisture exposure (i.e. – at the corners of the roof (of the House or Overhang) or breaches in the roof (telegraphed under the eave)). These items usually can be patched/repaired, but they are not insulated from a recurring event. A Roofer will have to address the issue to preclude blatant recurrence.
Cover issues not seen by the Contractor - either initially or over the course of the project - but known by the Client. If the Client is privy to an issue but elects not to disclose it, hoping the Contractor will be saddled with the burden of responsibility, then the relationship is predicated on deception, and remedy of the issue will not be honored.
